North Guilford Road Temporary Closure Due to Road Work
ROAD WORK NOTICE
Starting Monday, August 10th the North Guilford Road will the under construction in multiple areas with expected road closures and detours. The road will be closed except to local traffic. This project is going to take at least two weeks and you should expect traffic delays during this time.

Hydrant Gnome Project
The Beautification Committee is looking for creative community members to help transform five retired fire hydrants along Rte 15 into whimsical gnomes! Design templates are available in the Town Office and must be returned by Friday, July 31st. To see the flyer click HERE
Volunteers Needed Age 55+
Senior Companion Program is looking for adults 55+ to support individuals who are homebound or socially isolated to help them regain, maximize, or maintain their independence. Volunteer as few as 5 hours a week. Volunteers participate in preservice orientation and ongoing trainings.

Gym Roof Bid 2026
The Town of Monson is soliciting sealed bids for the replacement of the roof on the Monson gym, located at 35 Greenville Rd in Monson. The Town is hoping to have the project done in the Fall of 2026. Deadline for bids is August 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Bids will be opened at the August 13, 2026 Selectboard meeting. Full scope of work is available at the Monson town office. 997-3641.
Summerfest Dunk Tank Schedule

Volunteers and Donations Needed for Annual Town Yard Sale Sept 11-13th
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We are looking for volunteers to help with the Town Yard Sale in September. Duties would include helping to set up the event during the week before, being available that weekend (September 11th-13th) to help with sales, and clean-up of the remaining items when the yard sale is over. Please contact the Town Office at 997-3641 if you are interested in helping out.
Also, we are look for donations of items for the yard sale! Smaller items can be dropped off to the Monson Town Office. Arrangements can be made for pick up of larger items if necessary. Call the Town Office with any questions or to make arrangements at 997-3641.
FIRE DEPARTMENT BUILDING COMMITTEE & LAND NEEDED
As some of you may be aware, Monson has been selected to receive a grant for a new fire station. The Selectboard is seeking 2 residents to serve on a committee to assist with the design of the new facility. The committee will consist of 2 firefighters, 2 residents and 1 Selectboard member. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact the town office. Members will be selected at a future Selectboard meeting.
The town is also seeking a parcel of land on which to build the new structure. Ideally, the land will be in town and consist of at least 3 – 5 acres. If you own such a parcel and would consider selling it to the town, please contact the town office. 997-3641
