Preparation For a Frigid Winter Weekend
T'was the night before Maine froze over.
When all through the houses the faucets were a-drippin'
The pipes were a-creakin', the temps were low
The forecast was sayin' "Oh He** No!"
The long underwear squad in hot pursuit,
Checking on their neighbors, feeling cute.
Stokin' stoves and fueling fire,
Make sure your furnace doesn't tire.
For the next 48 hours, feel Maine's power.
So if you're in Maine, when the freeze does bite,
Just hang on with all your might,
And when the sun rises, with a warmer light,
You'll be glad you prepared for the Maine winter's might!
Please use extreme caution and have a backup heat source, if possible. I know were all Mainah's here, but let's use our thinkahs. Water freezes at 32 degrees, and I can assure you Deborah is gonna freeze at -40 degrees. Check on neighbors, it's cold at their house too. Check on your outdoor pets, even they will find these temps disrespectful. If you find yourself in a situation, PLEASE REACH OUT! Our gymnasium will be used as a warming shelter, if given the need. For assistance, call Piscataquis County Dispatch at 207-564-3304 and we will get you taken care of!
STAY WARM FRIENDS
