Yard Sale Committee Volunteers Wanted!

Due to Staff Meetings the Town Office will open at Noon on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025.

OCTOBER SELECTBOARD MEETING RESCHEDULED
The Select Board meeting for October will NOT be held on Thursday, October 9th.
It has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 23rd at 6pm. An agenda will be posted once available.
HALLOWEEN 2025
On Oct 25th the library will be hosting a pumpkin painting and make your own halloween tote bag event!
On Oct 31st the Collaborative will be hosting a halloween bash at the Gym!
Snacks and beverages (no alcohol) will be provided. Please join us for a fun time. We will have kids activities, spooky toons, and costumes! This is a free event! Donations accepted. Please bring the whole family after making the trick or treat rounds.

NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE
BARROWS FALLS ROAD WILL BE CLOSED TUESDAY September 30th AND WEDNESDAY October 1st DUE TO ROAD CONSTRUCTION. THERE WILL BE NO THRU TRAFFIC DURING THE DAY. This effects the Blanchard side of Barrows Falls Bridge.

Kris Kringle Market 2025 - Vendor Applications
Applications are being accepted for the 2025 Kris Kringle’s Market. This will be held on Saturday, December 6th at the Monson Gym from 9am to 3pm (set up begins at 7:30am). If you are interested in reserving a space to sell your items, please pick up a copy of the application from the Town Office or you can print one HERE
CONSTRUCTION DELAYS
Starting next week, September 15th, we will have a series of construction events happening here in Monson.
On the intersection of Water Street and Tenney Hill/ Greenville Road, you will see work taking place on the Historical Society foundation. Due to the proximity of the road, this will at times interfere with the intersection.
On Degerstrom Road and Barrow Falls Road there will be ditching and resurfacing work happening over the next couple of weeks.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and we encourage everyone to use extra caution while traveling throughout these areas! Let’s keep everyone safe!

EARLY CLOSING TODAY 8/28 and EXTENDED TAX DEADLINE TO 9/2
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Town Office will have to close at 4:30pm today.
Due to this unexpected closure and the upcoming holiday we will be extending the deadline for the tax discount until Tuesday, September 2nd.

The Selectboard meeting will NOT be held this Thursday, July 10th as the board members will be attending a training that evening. It has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 17th.
