Kris Kringle Market 2025 - Vendor Applications
Applications are being accepted for the 2025 Kris Kringle’s Market. This will be held on Saturday, December 6th at the Monson Gym from 9am to 3pm (set up begins at 7:30am). If you are interested in reserving a space to sell your items, please pick up a copy of the application from the Town Office or you can print one HERE
CONSTRUCTION DELAYS
Starting next week, September 15th, we will have a series of construction events happening here in Monson.
On the intersection of Water Street and Tenney Hill/ Greenville Road, you will see work taking place on the Historical Society foundation. Due to the proximity of the road, this will at times interfere with the intersection.
On Degerstrom Road and Barrow Falls Road there will be ditching and resurfacing work happening over the next couple of weeks.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and we encourage everyone to use extra caution while traveling throughout these areas! Let’s keep everyone safe!

EARLY CLOSING TODAY 8/28 and EXTENDED TAX DEADLINE TO 9/2
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Town Office will have to close at 4:30pm today.
Due to this unexpected closure and the upcoming holiday we will be extending the deadline for the tax discount until Tuesday, September 2nd.

8/14 Select Board Meeting Rescheduled

No Select Board meeting July 10th
The Selectboard meeting will NOT be held this Thursday, July 10th as the board members will be attending a training that evening. It has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 17th.

We will be open Tuesday, June 17th from 8am to 4pm and Friday June 20th from 7:30 to 3:30pm.
Town Office Closing Early Today, Thursday June 12th
The Town Office will be closing at 5pm today due to the Annual Town Meeting.
Please join us at 4:30 at the gym for the community appreciation dinner followed by the Town Meeting at 6pm. There will be a meal provided as well as raffle prizes!
Now Accepting Demo Bids
The Town of Monson is accepting bids for the demolition of the building located at 19 Center St, Monson, Maine. Interested bidders will be responsible for all permitting for demolition and the removal of any potentially hazardous materials prior to demolition. Demolition debris shall be loaded and transported from the property. Mail or hand-deliver a sealed, written proposal clearly marked “Building Demolition Proposal” on the envelope and mail to Town of Monson, PO Box 308, Monson, ME 04464 or drop off at the Town Office at 10 Tenney Hill Road.
Bids must be received by 5pm on Thursday, July 17, 2025. The bids will be opened at 6:00pm on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
Community Appreciation Dinner

Change of Date for Select Board Meeting in June
The Select Board meeting for June will be held Thursday, June 19th at 6pm. There will be NO Select Board meeting on June 12th due to the Town Meeting.
Finnish Farmer’s Club Benefit Dance

The Monson Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday June 12 to discuss changes to the use tables in the Land Use Ordinance. The meeting will be held at the Monson Gym at 7:30 pm or immediately following the Annual Town Meeting, whichever is sooner.
5TH ANNUAL PLANT SALE POSTPONED
The plant sale has been postponed from Saturday, May 24th to Sunday, May 25th due to the weather.
In observance of Memorial Day the Town Office will be CLOSED on Friday, May 23rd.
We will be open on Tuesday from 8am - 4pm or Thursday from 8am-6pm.
