Fall Cemetery Clean Up
The Monson Cemetery Committee respectfully requests that you remove any Summer decorations from cemetery plots by November 1st. Any decorations in poor condition (faded, broken, etc) will be removed by the committee at their discretion after November 1st.
Holiday decorations may be placed after November 1st. These will need to be removed in the Spring by May 1st.
Christmas Crafts Event - Saturday, December 14th 2024
The second annual Christmas Craft event will be held on Saturday December 14th from 12pm to 2pm at the Monson Gym. There will be cookies, hot cocoa, ornament making, and more. This event is free and open to all children. See the Facebook post here: Christmas Crafts | Facebook
October 26th Contests
There is a Halloween Decorating Contest for homes and businesses. Judging will be held October 26th. There is also a chili & pie contest held at the Gym on October 26th. To register for these events you can find the forms here Monson, Maine Calendar of Events — Town of Monson, Maine (squarespace.com) or pick up a paper copy in the Town Office. Return all forms to Daina Markella by October 25th.
Monson’s Annual Food Drive
For the month of October we will be collecting food donations to benefit local food pantries. Please bring any donations to the Town Office by October 31st. See the poster HERE
Emergency Planning Board Meeting - Thursday, October 17th
There will be an Emergency Planning Board meeting held on Thursday, October 17th at 5:30pm. The meeting will be held in the Coworking Space at the town office.
ZOOM option for meetings held at the gym
Now that we have internet service at the gym we can offer a ZOOM option for meetings held there. The link will be found in the agenda for the meetings!!
Craft Weekend Kids Activities Saturday, October 5th
The Monson Recreation Committee and Monson Library are sponsoring kids activities for the Maine Craft Weekend on Saturday, October 5th. All day there will be a color contest at the Monson Post Office. From 11am - 1pm there will be Disc Golf at the Monson Library. From 1pm - 3pm there will be Pumpkin Painting at the Monson Historical Society. To see the poster click HERE

Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 5:30pm in the Co-Working space (Old Library) with the ability to move the meeting to the gym if capacity is an issue.
We will endeavor to give everyone an opportunity to voice their opinion on this issue.
In the interest of time, we will limit each person's comments to 3 minutes.
There will be a hard stop at 7:30pm so please arrive early to sign up to be heard.
